Outwood Grange Academy and ÃÛÌÒapp Hemsworth have scooped wins at this year’s National Student Voice Awards 2023. The awards, organised by Votesforschools, recognise schools that prioritise student voice and empower young people to make a positive impact in their communities.

ÃÛÌÒapp Bishopsgarth, in Stockton-on-Tees, has been recognised for its outstanding careers work. The school has been awarded the national Quality in Careers Standard awarded under licence by Ixion (Part of the Shaw Trust Group).

On Saturday 1 July, the 3rd annual Shafton Bike Fest will take place. The event which will run from 12 pm to 3 pm, is a charity motorcycle show held by students at ÃÛÌÒapp Shafton and its charity committee to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and collect items for the Barnsley Food Bank.
